General Enrollment Policies

  • Enrollment Deposit: A minimum deposit of ONE-HALF of session fee must accompany OVERNIGHT & DAY CAMP ENROLLMENT APPLICATION FORM by May 15, 2010 – Applications without ONE-HALF deposits will not be processed. All fees are payable in U.S. Dollars.
  • General Early Enrollment Discount (Overnight Camp Only):
    A $50 discount is offered for each overnight camper fully enrolled by May 1, 2010 – FULLY ENROLLED MEANS ALL CAMP FEES, CAMP STORE & LAUNDRY DEPOSITS & ALL REQUIRED FORMS ON FILE (cannot combine with Session 3 First Time Camper Early Enrollment discounted session fee).
  • Session 3 First Time Camper Early Enrollment Discounted Fee:
    $995 Early Enrollment Session Fee (no other discount). First time camper only fully enrolled by June 1, 2010 – FULLY ENROLLED MEANS ALL CAMP FEES, CAMP STORE & LAUNDRY DEPOSITS & ALL REQUIRED FORMS ON FILE.
  • Required Form Submission – $25 Service Fee:
    We require originals of required forms and full payment of camp fees and Camp Store/Laundry deposits in our office not later than 2 weeks prior to your camper’s session start date. A $25 SERVICE FEE will be charged for non-compliance (faxed forms are not accepted.)
  • $50 Late Enrollment Fee:
    Enrollment applications received after May 15, 2010 will be charged a $50 LATE ENROLLMENT FEE and may be placed on a waiting list.
  • Refunds & Cancellations:
    Cancellation prior to a camper’s arrival must be made in writing at least two weeks in advance of the sessionstart date for refund of pre-paid fees or deposits less a $50.00 CANCELLATION FEE. No refunds for partial stays or disciplinary action terminations.
  • Session Fees Include:
    Fully qualified and trained supervision. Day Camp counselor-to-camper ratio is at least 1 counselor per 5 campers. Overnight Camp bunk accommodation does not exceed 8 campers with counselor-to-camper ratio of at least 1 counselor per 8 campers in most cabins (Bunk 1 & 2 cabins can accomodate up to 10 campers each), full daily meal service, camp T-shirt, all in-camp activities and most field trips and outings. Some field trips and outings may have an additional cost.
  • Enrollment Guidlines:
    • Except for Day Camp and the 1-Week “Try It Out” Session, enrollment is by two-week sessions only.
    • To improve your chances of securing your desired session, please apply early. All applications are processed daily on a “first-come” basis.
    • Day Camp campers must be not be younger than 5 years of age nor older than 7 years of age at the start date of the camper’s session.
    • Overnight Camp Sessions 1, 2, & 3 campers must be not younger than 8 years of age nor older than 14 years of age at the start date of the session.
    • Teen Session campers must be at least 14 years of age and have completed 9th grade, and no older than 16 years of age. We do not accept 14 year olds that have not completed 9th grade or 17 year olds in Teen Session.
    • 1-Week “Try It Out Session” campers must be FIRST TIME CAMPERS 8, 9, or 10 years of age ONLY. Space in this session is limited. Campers in this session are encouraged to attend the 2nd week (a discount is possible).
    • Multiple session stay-over requested after May 15, 2010 must wait for confirmation of available space.
  • Non-Discrimination, Compliance & Financial Assistance:
    • Camp Haiastan maintains a racial and gender non-discrimination policy toward all campers and in all activities.
    • Camp Haiastan must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Health (105 CMR 430.000), and be licensed by the Town of Franklin Board of Health. Information on CMR 430.000 can be obtained at 617 983-6761.
