About Us

     Camp Haiastan of The Armenian Youth Federation, Inc. is a co-ed overnight camp nestled in the woods of Franklin, Massachusetts, just 1 hour from Boston or Worcester, MA and Providence, RI.  Since 1951 Camp Haiastan has been a “magical place” where Armenian children from all over the United States and even the world have gathered for three generations to learn about their ancient culture in an atmosphere of camping and Armenian fellowship.

     With open arms we welcome your family into the Camp Haiastan Family whether this is your first season, or you are a returning camp family.  Our mission is simple: To teach our campers about their culture and heritage and instill in them an appreciation of being Armenian, and, to promote life-long bonds of friendship.  We strive to instill in our campers the ideals of the Armenian Youth Federation which includes: A commitment to never forget the legacy, successes and tribulations of the Armenian people, the Armenian nation and the Armenian cause; A commitment to promote a united, free and independent Armenia; And, to foster nationalistic pride in Armenian-American youth through educational, political, cultural, athletic, and social activities.
